Karl Caputo is the junior varsity and modified volleyball coach at Westhill High School, where he has developed talent at the grassroots level since 2013. His leadership has been key in building a pipeline of athletes that helped Westhill capture back-to-back Class B New York State Championships in 2018 and 2019. In addition to his school coaching, Caputo is a co-founder of Club SyrV and is entering his 15th season with the program. He currently coaches the 15U Premier girls team, assists the 13U Elite team, and has led teams to multiple top tournament finishes, including a 2021 championship with his 14U Orange girls and a runner-up finish with the 17U boys.

Caputo began coaching as a high school junior in 1997 and later contributed to SUNY Cortland's women’s and club volleyball programs while earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. As a player, he earned all-league honors at Central Square and competed for the Empire State Games between 1997 and 2010. He teaches physical education at Westhill and holds certifications in health and mathematics. Caputo lives in Fairmount, NY, with his wife Jessica and their two children, Kwinn and Jocelyn.
