Ted Kopacz joined the Colorado State volleyball program as an assistant coach in January 2024, bringing a dynamic presence and a proven track record of player development and recruiting success. Prior to joining the Rams, Kopacz served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he helped lead the program to its first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance and a Summit League Championship. He began his collegiate coaching career at the University of Colorado in 2021 as a Volunteer Assistant Coach, where he specialized in first contact, floor defense, and scouting preparation.

Originally from Libertyville, Illinois, Kopacz played collegiate volleyball at Indiana University, earning All-Big Ten and All-MIVA honors while serving as team captain. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Informatics and Computing with a focus on sports analytics. Before entering the college coaching ranks, he worked in benefits administration and spent several years coaching high school and club teams in the Chicagoland area. Known for his energy, positivity, and passion for the game, Kopacz is excited to contribute to the storied tradition of success at Colorado State.
